blood thinners

so yesterday we went to boulder to climb around on mt. sanitas. we stopped at this pharmacy in town for water, but i didn't need water so i was next to the register smelling these small squares of soap. a guy walks up to the counter and says--so, warfarin is a blood thinner, right? and the pharmacist says yeah. and the guys says--if i took enough of them i would die? and the pharmacist looks at him and the clerk looks at him and i'm looking at everybody because it was so tense, and finally the pharmacist says i guess so and the guy swallows the bottle of pills (at which point i left the store because i was thinking he probably didn't want to die alone and was going to kill everyone there). i went next door and saw him storm out, throw the cup of water on the ground and walk across the street.

here is the mountain
we walked up the steep side and now my left leg doesn't work anymore.

the way back was the best
i'll put more up later. i have to do some other things now.

sawed off

animal leg
here is a tree i like
here is water
alex and catherine came by. they were on a long journey and had just slept in yellowstone where many people die by stepping in boiling water. we went to golden gate canyon state park.
we also went to the coors brewery

two times in the last few days the wind has been so strong i've been knocked off my bike. one time we were riding on this tall hill and it blew so much we couldn't peddle anymore and then we sort of fell off and had to walk our bikes to the top. the wind put this bicycle in jail
in other news, i've been writing a personal history of wind.

from april. from may.

the sky in april.
april was when my best friend loved arda more than he loved me.
jess gave paper dolls to me for a birthday present. here is the story of horace and margaret:

grandfather horace is fifty-nine years old. he wears a knitted cotton-and-wool union suit with leather house slippers. grandmother margaret, who is fifty-three, wears a corset over her chemise and slip. under the slip she wears knee-length drawers. her high-buttoned shoes are worn over black lisle stockings. she wears a stretchable spiral wire bustle buckled at the waist.
i filled my bike with bestiaries the other day. i think i will try something out for the project that's due in the shakespeare class.

some things to love on tuesday

this: a show about a person who slices things open. even a magic 8-ball.
